Dear Council Member Hanif,
I am a resident of City Council District 39.
I support a candidate who listens to and represents their constituents and not one who makes closed door deals with lobbyists and developers.
The South Slope/Windsor Terrace communities have been loud and clear: we do not want 15 stories of mostly luxury housing on Prospect Avenue. The environmental and displacement risks to our communities are simply too great.
In District 39, we want contextual affordable housing!
In this June’s primary election, I will vote for a representative who supports limiting the two Arrow Linen towers to 7 stories AND who supports building more than the minimum 25% affordable homes proposed by Arrow Linen.
I will NOT vote for a representative in the primary who ignores the community.
We hope you will stand with the people who elected you, to represent us.
